Riley Chapel Road River Access

The Kokosing River runs through a very broad valley at this location, flanked by forested hills. This river access allows for a great fishing experience both upstream and downstream. View the River Fish ID Guide to educate yourself on the fish species that inhabit this area. Bald eagles are frequently seen in this area. The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District manages most of the land downstream. About one mile downstream is the Knox/Coshocton county line which is also where the Kokosing River and Mohican River combine to form the Walhonding River. This site contains a portable restroom and picnic table. While in the area, travel State Route #715 to Bat Nest Park, another one of the Knox County Parks.
