Do you like to fish? We are looking for kids who enjoy being outdoors! Since the threat of Covid-19 continues, our youth programs have been cancelled and it is with regret but we also value the importance of keeping everyone safe during this time. Plan to join us in an event we are hosting in which we can practice social distancing and the non-gathering of a group. This event is a series of virtual fishing tournaments this spring/summer/fall  (1) per month for youth ages 7-18.  The tournaments are hosted via a app called Fish Donkey on your mobile device. We invite you to sign up to participate as we team up with Ariel Foundation Park and offer this free tournament with lots of nice prizes!! We are limiting the tournament to 75 entries!  You can fish any body of water in Knox County and the tournament will run from 8:00 am – noon.

Isaac Sigman caught this bass in the Kokosing River.

To view the tournament details, rules and how to register, please visit this link https:///… In order to participate you must have a mobile device and download Fish Donkey. We are very excited to work with the developers of this app as we provide a unique tournament series this summer. We will be hosting a total of (6) tournaments.

This is going to be another great program provided to each participant free of cost as the Knox County Park District and our friends of the Ariel Foundation Park Conservancy, Kokosing Valley Jr Anglers and THR Creekside Home Inspections are sponsoring the event. Great prizes awarded at each tournament!!

To register you must be 7-18 years of age. You must also fish a body of water within Knox County. Our park provides Wolf Run Park pond while Ariel Foundation Park provides several lakes and do not forget about the Kokosing River!
