The Kokosing State Scenic River is a wild river. Always be aware of your surroundings, water levels and weather conditions. Do not mix alcohol or other drugs while swimming, tubing or paddling a kayak/canoe.
Acknowledge swimming, tubing, kayaking and canoeing can be dangerous activities. High flow rates, underwater currents and low visibility should be taken into consideration BEFORE entering the river. Also acknowledge no agencies (private, local, state or federal) maintain the waterway.

An acceptable range is between 100 cfs and 300cfs for flow rates.
Take water and air temperatures into consideration.
The two combined should be at least 120°
Never, ever swim, tube, kayak or canoe alone.
Observe the river for fast flowing currents and murkiness.
Watch for river hazards such as fallen trees, large rocks and debris.
