This small 10 acre preserve was made possible through
a generous donation by Mr. and Mrs. Trinkner and willing landowners,
neighbors possessing the vision of setting aside greenspace for
future generations. The wooded preserve is not open to the public,
except by permit. The preserve is managed principally as a research
area. While small in size, Trinkner is botantically rich, with healthy
populations of spring wildflowers, mature decidous trees and holly
bushes. Rufous-sided towhees, cardinals, titmice and blue-gray knatcatchers
can be heard at the site.
